PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Foundation in Science KPT/JPS (FA 0575)08/26

Our Foundation in Science course; has been specifically designed to provide the students with the required knowledge, which will enable them to opt for undergraduate science / engineering / medicine/ pharmacy degree courses. Students who successfully complete a foundation course are therefore able to progress into year one of their chosen degree subject providing they have taken the relevant pathway modules and passed them at the required standard. Lincoln's foundation year courses are bridging courses designed to provide students with the appropriate academic background for study at Bachelor degree level.

  1. The purpose of this program is to provide excellent Pre-University edification that prepares the students to meet the requirements of undergraduate studies.
  2. The courses trains the students with a certain amount of resilience where students can make their own choices regarding further studies.
  3. As a result of this exposure the students develop a stronger foothold than the others and gain a holistic education.
  4. The program endows the students with scholarly attributes and discipline, at the same time infuses leadership qualities and helps in personality development.

The programs of Foundation in Science are formulated in such a manner, so as to acquaint the students with the core science subjects. After qualifying in this course the students will be prepared to enroll for a science-based degree and will acquire numerous beneficial skills. A thorough understanding of the science subjects, will help the students to choose the specialized area of his/her interest. Foundation degrees are basic courses for higher education qualification and work-related orientations.

Intake :

Entry Requirements :

  1. Students who will be studying at the undergraduate level programs in the field of Medicine: Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with grade B in 5 subjects, namely Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Additional Mathematics & one of the other subjects as well as the Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Inggeris or English credit and other equivalent qualifications; OR
  2. Students who will be studying at the undergraduate level programs in the field of Dentistry & Pharmacy: Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least get 5 credits with a minimum grade of B4 in Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry & Biology and graduated Bahasa Malaysia and Bahasa Inggeris or English and other equivalent qualifications; OR
  3. Students who will be studying at the undergraduate level programs except the field of Medicine, Dentistry & Pharmacy : Pass SPM / SPMV / O-Level with at least 5 credits including in Mathematics and 2 Science subjects and pass BM & BI and other equivalent qualifications.
